A Novel

Hero is a story about a boy who was forced to leave his family and change his name for his own safety. You will be asked to read the novel and complete activities in this webquest. After you have finished the activities you will be expected to be able to answer the inquiriy question, with deep thought and consideration.
Inquiry question: How does changing your name and your family affect who you are?

Task
Your task will be to read and understand the novel, Hero.You will be asked to complete tasks before reading, after each chapter and after you have finished the novel completely.
The novel describes a boy whose situation is very different than yours. Nevertheless,you will be asked to not just reflect on the novel itself, but also how the novel's content applies to your own life and the world as a whole.
You will be looking at the details of the story, but you will always be keeping in mind the general inquiry question:
How does changing your name and your family affect who you are?

1. What do you notice?
2. What do you think each picture has to do with the novel.
3. Write a 5-10 sentence prediction about what you think will happen in the novel.
