Task
Your task is to identify and make discoveries about the 13 original colonies.You will uncover this information through research.Your final report will include:
- Identification of the 13 original colonies
- The founders of each colony and the year it was founded
- Descriptions of why/how the colonies were founded
- Geographical characteristics of each colony
- The role of religious development
- Venn Diagram
- A timeline of the regions
- Class Presentation
Process
You will form a team of three. Each member of your team will choose a region to research. Step 1: You will form a team of threeStep 2: Each member of your team will choose a region to research.

Step 3: Independently, open up a Google doc and title it, "Thirteen Colony Webquest"
Step 4: Independently begin researching your reigion. Take some notes during your research. Resources have been provided for you below.
Step 5: Answer the following questions in your Google doc.
1. List the colonies in your region and who was the founder of each colony?2. Description of why these colonies were founded. 3. List three geographical characteristics of each colony.4. What role did religion play in the development of your region?5. What is life like in your region?
Once you have finished researcing and answered all of the questions. has been completed, all 3 of you will come together to share findings. Each team member needs to share their information with the other members. After discussing the information determine the similarities and difference discovered between the regions. Create a Venn Diagram showing the similarities and differences of the three regions. The presentation MUST be a collaborative effort.Develop a pictorial timeline for Colonial America.
