Vegetation Types around the World

Introduction

You will  describe the main types of vegetation, including forest, savannah, grassland, woodland and desert, and explain the relationship between climate and natural vegetation.

Task

Describe the characteritics for each vegetation type. Explain why the features depend on the climate. Use the links to help you gather information.

Choose a vegetation type and create a poster. 

Your poster needs:

  • title 
  • headings 
  • labelled diagram and photos
  • description of the climate
  • description of how the plants are suited to live in the climate
  • other interesting facts
