Process

Over the next few days we are going to have lengthy discussions about our constitution.  We will read all of it section by section and discuss what it means and why we think our founding fathers felt it was important.  Your assignment for this unit is to pick a part of the consitution that you find interesting and create a presentation around  it.  Your presentation can be in the form of a powerpoint,  poster,  weebly, prezie or if you have a different idea share it with me to make sure it is suitable.

On the next page you will find a rubric for grading and self evaluation questions.

On the Task page you will find links to all the various handouts/worksheets needed for this unit.  Please access the handouts as directed durring our daily lesson and not before.

Evaluation

Self Evaluation Questions:

  1. Do you feel the Constitution was an improvement on the Articles of Confederation or should the Founding Fathers have left the Articles in place with modifications?  Why or why not?  Give specific examples to support your response.

  2. How would you assess your participation in this project?  What did you do well?  What improvements would you make if you were to revisit this activity?

  3. Overall, do you feel that your participation in this project provided you with a more meaningful understanding of how and why the United States Constitution was created?  Why or why not?

Type your responses to these questions to be turned in with your final project.
