Character Education Video Contest
You and your group will be entering a Summit video contest once a month to showcase an aspect of character education. The first month is Respect. The winning group will get a one-week dress down pass and will be considered AMAZING by me and everyone else at the school!!! :)
Task
Character Education Video Contest
Specifications:
- Between 2-4 minutes
- Must be about the character education topic of the month (August: Respect)
- Can be filmed from any app on your phone or just your camera
- All members of your group must be involved, either behind the scenes, in front of the camera, or both
- Team jobs should include: storyboard artist/writer, videographer(s), actors, singers, script writer(s), set design, editing, graphic art design, costumes, sound, etc.
- Suggestions for video templates: Interviews, skits, songs, raps, informational, reality TV, true stories, animations, good and bad examples

Process
You MUST complete the preparation and organization steps prior to starting on your video. You will be getting an individual and a group grade. You have to cooperate, collaborate, and compromise in order for this project to be the most awesome project ever. :)
1. Discuss with your group what type of video project you will do. See the Task Page for options, or you may design your own.
- Suggestions for video templates: Interviews, skits, songs, raps, informational, reality TV, true stories, animations, good and bad examples
2. When you decide on what type of project you will do, figure out what jobs will be needed.
- Team jobs should include: storyboard artist/writer, videographer(s), actors, singers, script writer(s), set design, editing, graphic art design, costumes, sound, etc.
2.5. Decide which program(s) you will use to create your project.

3. Assign each group member to a job or more than one job. Each person can have one job or all members can share all jobs, or any combination in between.
4. Next your group needs to discuss a basic script/storyboard for your video. You need to know what you are going to say and do before you start filming.

5. Practice...rehearse...take your time and get it at close to perfect as possible before filming your final video.
