Introduction
Native American Tribes
The country in which we lived once belonged to various Native American Tribes. Across what we now call the United States of American these tribes lived in varying regions across the land. The ways in which they lived are not only very different than how we live today, but they also varied from region to region.
We will explore several of these regions (Eastern Woodlands, Southwest, and Great Plains) so that we may learn about what life was like, their history, and their culture.

Task
We will be researching three Native American tribal regions (Eastern Woodlands, Southwest, and Great Plains. For each region we will need to find certain information relating to their location (geography)/climate, food and hunting/gathering, shelter and transportation, clothing and tools, customs and traditions.
You will be given graphic organizers/research questions for each topic within each region. Once we have researched and discussed each region, in addition to an summative assessment for each, you will need to choose two of the tribes we've discussed and write a comparative essay (details on this will be given at the appropriate time). In addition to your assessments, you will be creating an artifact for each tribe.
Process
Using our research questions as a guide, fill in your graphic organizers as we find the information on each of the topics for which we are tasked with finding information.
