Process

Step 1:  Read the Rotten Ralph and pay attention to the illustrations.  Think about what kind of cat Ralph is.  Is he mischievious?  Is he friendly?  Is he a good pet to for Sara to have?  Is he sad?  Is he lonely?  Is he happy or relieved?  Pay attention to what kinds of things Ralph does in the book.

Step 2:  Get a piece of paper.  Fold the paper in half like a hamburger.  Open the paper up.  Now you have a top and a bottom part of the paper.

Draw a picture of Ralph on the top.  On the bottom you will write four sentences about Ralph.  Please use the sentence stem "Ralph feels _________________ because ________________________." Use the book for help.  For example, I would write "Ralph feels relaxed when he is sitting in Father's chair."  You can use the following words to help you:  sad, relieved, happy, excited, angry, rotten, lonely.  You can also come up with your own words too.
