How to Create a Webquest

Introduction

Bonjour à tous !

What is a webquest you ask? Well, I'm about to show you right here. It's a fun and interactive way of learning! Students will enjoy being able to travel around in the technology world and discover new information. So, let's not wait and start learning together... To see what your task is, click the "Task" button.

Task

Your task is to create a Webquest for that your students will be able to complete using the social studies curriculum.

Process

With your partner, you will complete a Google search and find the curriculum for your current grade level. After, you will pick a couple specific expectations that you should be able to touch on in one 60-90 minute lesson : What do you want the students to learn? (ie. about Aboriginals).

You will start by going to createawebquest.com.

You will then give the students a task that you would like them to complete. (ie. Reducing the harm to the environment by teaching their school more about how to be eco-friendly.)

You will tell them the process of how they will complete the task. (ie. get into groups, create posters, announcements, research, etc.)

You will give them the information as to how they will be evaluated. (ie. rubric, amount of waste reduced, etc.)

After, you will give them a conclusion to wrap up the project. (ie. Thanks for your contribution to the environment.)

Evaluation

You will receive a pass or a fail, depending on whether or not you create a Webquest.

Conclusion

Have fun using this tool and showing your students how to have fun using technology to teach and learn!
