Introduction
Congratulations! You have been selected as member of the Science Technology Committee. The district is interested in exploring how current technology resources in 6th grade science can be used more effectively. It is your job to explore some of the untapped tools within the current 6th grade technology resources including Science Fusion, JASON, ExporeLearning and iXplore. What tools are currently available but are not being tapped into? Where are the hidden gems in the technology resources? How can these tools be used to imporve teaching and learning in the 6th grade science classroom? You only have a short time with your commitee members so let's get started!
Task
You will work with your committee members to explore additional tools within the technology resources that can be used by 6th grade teachers and students. As you complete your research you will record your findings in a Google doc. If during your exploration you see any additional tools you would like to explore, feel free to do so! Before we get started, let's make a Google doc where you can record all your usernames and passwords for your 6th science technology resources. Click on the picture below to open the Google doc and then click on File, Make a Copy to create your own personal log in cheat sheet
Process
You will be assigned to a group of committee members. You will access a Google doc titled "Uncovering Technology Tools for 6th Grade Science". It is within this Google doc that you will record your findings.
Complete the activities as outlined on the Google doc to explore some of the tools in the following technology resources:

Evaluation
As a committee you now will submit your findings to a larger group through the use of a Padlet. What were the best tools you discovered in your explorations of the 6th grade technology resources? How can these tools be used to enhance the teaching and learning in a 6th grade science classroom? Did you discover any other tools on your own that would be useful to students or teachers?
