Task
You have just turned 16!! (Happy birthday) and as promised your parents said they will buy you your first car! The choice is yours! But you have to do all the work for it :(
Your parents asked you to find yourself the car you want, get a good deal on the price! Then work out the Compulsory third party insurance (CTP Greenslip) and then workout who gives the best deal for a Third party property damage car insurance. Lastly, they have also asked you to work out the depreciation value of your car in case you wish to sell it after 5 years and get a new car!
Your parents have asked you to show your findings to them on PowerPoint. In order to successfully get your first car, follow the steps in the “Process” stage.
Process
Part A:
Create a PowerPoint presentation explaining the types of insurance we have looked at including car insurance, travel insurance, health insurance, life insurance and home insurance. You may refer to your class notes or research on the internet.
Part B:
In order to prepare the findings for your parents, answer the following questions by going on the provided links below. You may use these questions as your headings in your PowerPoint. Remember: Wherever it requires you to enter your personal information do not give it, instead make up the details.

Include the prices of all insurance companies and state which had the lowest price and which company had the highest price. And which company will you choose and why.
4. My Third Party Property Damage car insurance works out to be…
Go on NRMA and AAMI insurance website and compare the third party property insurance for your chosen car. Include prices of both the companies in your document and suggest which gives a better deal and which one you will choose and why.
