Introduction
*Esmeralda Chavez was born in September 26, 1992 in the town Chester in Middlesex County, Connecticut, United States.
*On April 2nd at approximately 10:00am, the body of Esmeralda Chavez was discovered by a jogger. It was around 10:15am, when the 17th precinct along with criminal investigator, Halley, arrived at the scene of the crime.
*After securing the scene of the crime, they then began to obtain any and all evidence they could find, as criminal investigator Halley questioned, Michelle Gil, the jogger who discovered Esmeralda’s body.
*Criminal investigator Halley then took Miss Gil back to the 17th precinct where she gave an official statement and was then released for she was not a suspect due to her having no relations at all with the victim.
*The examiners noticed that miss Chavez body was covered with recent and old bruises. The examiners also noticed two perfect fingerprints around miss Chavez’s neck which they sent to the lab to be analyzed.

*As the result was awaited, the investigator contacted friends and family members of miss Chavez to find out any information they might know about her bruises.
*Both friends and family members of Ms. Chavez stated that she obtained those bruises from her boyfriend who tend to get very abusive whenever he got drunk.
*Miss Chavez’s boyfriend, Alan, was then brought in for questioning but he had a solid alibi which checked out.
*The next day, the fingerprint analysis results came back and the prints did not belong to miss Chavez’s boyfriend but in fact they belonged to an ex-convict who had been released from jail a week prior to the murder.
*When brought in for questioning, the ex-convict, Alex Thomas confessed to committing the murder.
*When asked “why?” Mr. Thompson’s answer was simple. He simply responded with “why not? She was the perfect target, and I needed one more kill for I am getting old”.
*Mr. Thompson was put on trial where he was found guilty and sentenced to 20 years in maximum security prison.
* However due to evidence that was overlooked during our investigation, there's proof that Ms.Chavez's boyfriend, Stefan, is a co-conspirator in the murder of his now deceased girlfriend.

Step 3: Photograph
- Photographing the crime scene to record a pictorial view of what the scene looks like and to record items of possible evidence
Step 4: Sketch
- A rough sketch is completed by the crime scene technician to demonstrate the layout of the crime scene or to identify the exact position of the deceased victim or evidence in the crime scene
Step 5: Process
- The crime scene technician will process the crime scene for evidence, both physical and testimonial evidence.
