WebQuests

Introduction

This Quest will help you to gain a better understanding of what a webquest is and how to make one.

Task

While you are on this quest you will be exploring a variety of tasks used by teachers to support student learning using the internet. You will review webquests from different content areas and develop a set of ideas for use in your own classroom someday.

In another document, respond to the following prompts and directions.

Process

Step 1. Go to https://www.createwebquest.com/what-is-a-webquest.  List the 7 categories that are included in a WebQuest with a brief description of what goes into each one.

Step 2. Go to:

http://questgarden.com/search/ (in the drop down boxes, select different subject areas and grade levels)

At each site review 2 WebQueststhen write a compare/contrast review:  How were they the same? How were they different? Which did you like best? Why?

Step 3. With your favorite webquest from number 2,  describe what they put in each of the 7 categories.

Step 4. Give a specific instance where you might create and use a WebQuest in your classroom.
