The Cold War

Introduction

After World War 2, the world hoped for peace and prosperity, but although the devastating Nazi regime was eliminated, ideological differences continued to cause tensions. More specifically the tensions were between two Titans of the modern world, the communist USSR and democratic USA- strongly opposing ideas of freedoms led to inevitable conflict, and when giants fight, nobody is safe from being trampled. What were these tensions and conflicts? Who was "trampled" by the struggles between these two superpowers? What were the effects of this war? These questions and more will be answered in this Cold War Webquest.
