Introduction
General : 1) Verb To Be in Past Tense
The past tense of To Be in English has two forms: WAS and WERE
1.1) To Be - Affirmative
1.2) To Be - Negative Sentences:
The negative of To Be can made by adding not after the verb (was or were).
1.3) To Be - Negative Contractions
The can make negative contractions of the verb To Be in the Past tense by joining the verb (was or were) and n't(e.g. were not = weren't). We don't make a contraction of the subject and the verb (e.g. I was).
1.4) To Be - Questions : To create questions with To Be, you put the Verb before the Subject.
Before the verb you can also have a WH- Question word (Why, Who, What, Where etc.)
Were you happy? Yes, I was.
Why were you happy? Because I was promoted at work.
2) There is / There are
2.1 We use there is and there are to say that something exists.
2.2 We use there is for singular and there are for plural.
2.3 We also use There is with uncountable nouns.
2.4 The contraction of there is is there's.
2.5 You cannot contract there are.
2.6 The negative is formed by putting not after is or are
2.7 The Negative contractions are:
- There's not = There isn't
- There are not = There aren't
2.8 There aren't with ANY
When we want to indicate that a zero quantity of something exists we use there aren't any.
- There aren't any people at the party.
- There aren't any trees in my street.
We also use this structure with uncountable nouns:
- There isn't any water in the swimming pool.
- There isn't any sugar in my coffee.
2.9 How many with are there
If we want to find out the number of objects that exist we use How many in the following form:
How many + plural noun + are there (+ complement).

2) Write s summary in a 8 1/2 x 11 page (letter size) up to 15 lines only.
3) The Summary needs to include the following:
3.1 verb to be in Past Tense,
3.2 there is,
3.3 there are,
3.4 some and any.
3.5 You can also apply, ordinal numbers, present tense and present progressive.
4) This has to be deliver on Tuesday May 10th on class.
Part 2 Oral Part
1) You would need to present a speech of what you watched and wrote on Part 1.
2) It is a presentation, please AVOID to read, you would need to speak and make the audience interested.
