The Cold War was a time in world history filled with proxy wars. Political unrest was popular through out the countries. The primary participants of the Cold War were the USSR and the USA. The cause of the Cold War were many things. The USA and the USSR were in a race to have their ideologies spread throughout  the world. The effects of the cold war were Germany being split up and the USA and USSR creating numerous weapons of mass destruction.
