Have you ever wondered how many different penguins there are in the world? What makes them different? Well, in this project we are going to find out just what penguin you want to be!
By Kristen Hunter
Task
First, you will watch a video on penguins.
Next, you and three other students will work together to research all about penguins.
Finally, you and your partners will write a parapraph explaining what kind of penguin you would like to be! Also, you will get to draw and color a picture of yourself as a penguin!
Process
First, watch this great video on penguins!

Next,
You and your partners will be picking one penguin from the video to research about. You can create research by answering the following questions on a penguin fact worksheet:
1. What does the penguin look like?
2. Where does the penguin live?
3. What does the penguin like to eat?
4. Find two fun facts about penguins that you did not know or interested you.
Finally, once you and your partners have collected research on the penguin you will have to write a paragraph about the penguin. Your paragraph should include what the penguin looks like, where it lives, what it eats, and one fun fact from each partner. Also, each student must draw and color their very own penguin as themselves. When everyone is finished each group will present and teach the class about their penguin.

In this webquest students explored different kinds of penguins. They learned what they eat, what they look like, and where they live along with much more. In the end, students were able to team up and research a penguin of their choosing and write a well thought out parapragh, while also drawing themselves as penguins. Finally, each group got to share their research with the class.
