A High School Graduate from Child Care Academy

Meet Juanita. She just graduated from Frank H Peterson Academy with her Child Care Industry Certification! Yeah! Now she needs a job. In the coming month, she hopes to be interviewing with prospective employers.  Because she doesn’t know much about interviewing for a job, your assignment is to help her prepare for a job interview.

Task

You are taking on the role as an investigative reporter. You will use the links provided as well as other resources to become experts in preparing for an interview. You will work By completing this WebQuest, you should achieve the following goals:

1) Develop an interest in the study of The Job Interview.

2) Use the power of the Internet for advanced exploration.

3) Learn information about key aspects of The Job Interview.

4) Realize that complex topics can be looked at from various perspectives.

5) Formulate and support an opinion based on your role

Explore the web links provided and then answer the questions that were set before you (1-6) in paragraph format, as you would for a newspaper article with each question being a separate paragraph. 
Phase 1 - Background Information

Conclusion

Whether you are new to the workforce or are switching jobs, you have learned how to prepare for and have a successful job interview. Being prepared promotes confidence!  Most interviewers make their decision within the first three minutes, so make a terrific first impression.

How can you use what you've learned to see beyond the black and white of a topic and into the grayer areas? What other parts of The Job Interview could still be explored? Remember, learning never stops.
