Introduction
You are one of very few people left on the earth due to the wipe out of the spreading disease called "Couchpotatoitis". All of the survivors around the world have now gathered together in order to rebuild the human race. Being that there are people from all over the world, there are many different viewpoints, beliefs, and lifestyles. One of the most important tasks of the survivors will be to choose a form of government for this new country. You have been assigned to research forms of government and choose the best one for this new country.
Task
The remaining survivors are counting on you to choose the best form of government. In order to complete your task you must follow the following steps:
Step 1: Research different forms of government.
Step 2: Compare, contrast, and analyze the different forms of government to decide which type would be beneficial to your new country.
Step 3: Create a presentation explaining what form of government you chose and why, include what laws will be in place, taxes, obligations etc. This will then be presented to the other survivors.
Process
Now that you know your task, here are the next steps you will take to complete it.
Step 1: RESEARCH - Democracy, Republic, Communism, Autocracy, Oligarchy, Theocracy, and Fascism
Step 2: ANALYZE - In order to analyze, you must get into a group of no more than 4 people. Create a Pro's and Con's diagram including the 7 different types of government. Once the diagram is complete decide which government would be best for your country.
Step 3: CREATE YOUR PRESENTATION - With your group decide how you want to present your form of government. You may create a video presentation expressing why you and your group chose this form of government; you may create a Prezi presentation, a PowerPoint presentation or create a poster.

Conclusion
In this assignment you learned about the differnt forms of government. As you researched did you find any comparasons between governments? What things stuck out to you? What were you surprised to learn? Across the world people are goverened differntly, and it was up to you to chose what you believe would work best for you and your new country.
