Blacks in Sports

Introduction

Throughout history there has been many different times where african americans have had issues competing in numerous sports. the issuse ranged from sepreate leages for blacks to not even allowing blacks in the sport. some od the biggest topic where jackie robinson, ernie davis, and many other big names.

in history blacks have had to fight extreamly hard to have equal rights as whites. this lead to the civil rights movement and athletes had big roles in breaking barriers in sports, as well as social barriers. 

Task

the task for the students to complete is to write a 400 word essay over the civil rights movement in the context of sports.

these sights goes over jackie robinsons life and all the stuggle he went through to become the first ever black player to play professional baseball. this was an amazing acomplishment and he helped pave a way for countless others to follow in his footsteps. the other site goes over the life of ernie davis and his stuggles with rascim in college football. he went through many things on his joureny to becoming the first black to ever win the hiesman trophy.

in conclusion, you should now have a better view on race in sports. you were able to look closely at two specific athletes and their careers. you were able to see their stuggles with racsim in their respected sporst, and their impact on the civil rights movemewnt.
