Introduction
You can help them!
Task
Find an endangered animal you would like to learn about. Then come up with a plan fourth graders can follow to help sav your endangered animal.
Process
1. Choose an animal from one of these websites. That way you know it is an endangered animal. Then use the websites to help you answer the questions about your animal.

2. How many are there in the wild?
3. Where does the animal live?
4. What does the animal eat?
5. What eats the animal?
6. How often are babies born to this animal?
7. What are the babies called?
8. How long do they stay with their mom?
9. Why is your animal endangered?
10. What is being done about it?
11. What can you do about it?
Evaluation
Create a poster about how fourth graders can save your animal.
Include 1 picture of your animal, 1 picture of the baby, 1 picture of where it lives, 1 picture of why it is endangered, and a saying to explain how to save the animal.
See Ms. Schneider's example on the smart baord for help.
