An Inventor Ahead of His Time

Introduction

We know that in aforetime there were people who were exceptionally intelligent and talented, whose inventions had reinvented the world we know until these days. 

Today we will cover about the great genius Leonardo da Vinci.

Though Leonardo da Vinci may be most famous for his works as an artist, he also was a mathematician, engineer, inventor, sculptor, architect, geologist, cartographer, botanist, and writer. He was the epitome of the Renaissance man, bringing to the world his wealth of knowledge to advance mankind’s fate. He actually spent quite a bit more time working on his endeavors in science and technology rather than painting.

Task

The task is: Students will investigate a bit more and find out at least 5 remarkable inventions of Leonardo da Vinci and in a 1 page document they will write their thoughts about those inventions. 

Process

1-. Ivestigate about Leonardo da Vinci's most remarkable invetions. At least 5, 10 maximum.

2-. Write your thoughts about those inventions in a 500-700 words document .

3-. Print your document and bring it to the second class of the week and share/compare it with your classmates.

The purpose of this Webquest is to let the students learn about the inventions of the past that has revolutionate the world, taking Leonardo da Vinci as the inventor that we took as a great exameple fot the task. This activity it focus on a constructivist approach beacuse it looks for the students to think and give a personal opinion, create (writing). to later on share it with their classmates and compare what they investigate.
