Introduction
Your expertise is needed! YOU will become the historian that will report on the 13 original colonies!
Through indpendent research, you will become an expert on the Thirteen original Colonies. YOU will find the differences and similiarities of the Middle, Southern and New England Colonies. For each region, YOU will uncover the facts that made each COLONY and REGION unique. You will discover the challenges the colonists faced, differences and similarities with other colonies, religious factors, the impact of the geography and climate, and understand the economy and the politics that grew in each region.
Task
As the historian, your task is to identify and make discoveries about the 13 original colonies. You will reasearch to find this information. Your information will inlude the following:
- Identification of the originial 13 Colonies and identify their region
- Founders of each colony and the year it was founded
- Reasons the colony was founded (MOTIVE)
- GEOGRAPHIC characteristics and CLIMATEof each colony
- Role RELIGION played in the regions development
- The major ECONOMIC activities (How did colonists make their living?)
