Shaping Contemporary Canadian Life: 1945 - Present

Introduction

Can you imagine what life would be like for Canadians if Canada was not a bilingual and multicultural nation? There are many factors that contributed to shaping contemporary Canadian life and the developments regarding Aboriginal rights and the evolution of Canada as a bilingual and multicultural nation.  What are some unique features that make us a multicultural and bilingual nation? What would you tell someone visiting Canada to convince them we are a multicultural nation that values diverse people and cultures?  You will go on a quest with a partner to answer questions and gain an understanding about Canada’s evolution to a multicultural and bilingual nation.  Reflect upon the answers to your questions and create a presentation to illustrate the development of Canada as a bilingual and multicultural nation.  Feel free to create a PowerPoint, video, poster, story, narrative, skit, song or anything you would like for your presentation! The possibilities are endless!

Good luck on your quest!
