Introduction

Welcome to the Plant Life webquest for Miss Kline's Kindergarten class! Today you are going to discover how a plant grows and what types of plants there are and what their life cylce is! 

You are going to visit different websites, watch a video or two, and read some books for science class to discover the world of plants!

Remember myself and our classroom helpers will be around if you need help navigating the websites!

Task

Today you are going to go and discover the life of plants and how they grow! By visiting different websites, watching a video, and reading a book we will be able to put together the life cycle of a big flower on the board and plant our own flower and watch it grow!

Process

Here are the steps to complete your worksheet and learn the life cycles of a plant!

1. Watch the video below to learn how plants grow!

2. Click on the link below and play with Sparky the Alien! Choose any of the options and work to answer the question!

3. Now I want you to help Caillou out and make his garden beautiful!

4. Watch the video that is first shown on the website below.  

5. Play the 2 different games following the video.

6. Follow this link and watch as a cherry tomato plant grows!

7. Last but not least lets test your knowledge! Do the activity and then click on quiz! Answer the questions that pop up as best as you can!

8. Now go to the book shelf at the front of the room and use 4 of the following books to complete your worksheet!

Now that you have completed your Webquest hand your worksheet into your number box! I will look through the worksheets to make sure you followed all the steps on this webquest! The rubric below describes what your grade will be based off of!
