Introduction
This is a webquest! A webquest is an inquiry-oriented lesson format in which most or all the information that you will need will come from the web. In other words, you will follow hyperlinks to answer questions and complete tasks. This particular webquest is on the Ancient Greeks.

Task
Working as loyal members of you poleis, you will study the development of Greek Civilzation, from the Bronze Age through the Hellenistic Era. Each poleis will explore one period of Greek history, and contribute one piece (8-10 slides) to our Keynote class-timeline on Greek history. Each poleis will answer the driving question as well as the essential questions regarding their period of Greek History.
Driving Question:
1. How Greek Are we?
Along with the driving question, you will also include in your presentation, answers to these essential questions?
Essential Questions:
1. What signifcant developments took place during your period of Greek history?
2. What significant events took place during your period of Greek history?
3. Who were some key players, or famous Greeks, that lived during your period of Greek history? And what did they accomplish?
4. What brought an end to your period of Greek history?
Assignments:
Argos you have been given the task of exploring the Mycenaens and the Heroic Era (1500-1200 BCE).
Sparta you have been given the task of exploring the Archaic Era and the Rise of the Polis (800-500 BCE).
Athens you have been given the task of exploring the Classical Era (480-323 BCE).
Corinth you ahve been given the task of exploring Alexander and the Hellenistic Era (323-146 or 41 BCE).
