Task

Now we are going to get into he adventure of Hugo Caberet, as you will quest the web for information on a few topics and report back to your classmates what you have found! You will have to read what the others posted and say what you think about their findings. You will get 4 topics to write about. You can choose how many you want to quest for as longs as you write at least 300 words. Make it an easy read for other people by making sure you have a clear introduction, middle & end.
Use your wordpress page to post the final product and comment on each other, this isn't the first time so you know what to do!

Topics:

What is an Automata or Automaton?

What was the first movie about and who filmed it?

Who was George Méliès in real life and how does he compare to his version in the book?

What happened at the Gare Montpernasse that is also described in the book?

Process

Let us take a look at what is the best way to go about this quest.

.

Step one: gathering info

After chosing your topic(s) you will have to start with looking up information. You can start by using google or wikipedia, make sure to go to the source websites listed on wikipedia. Another good starting point would be the website https://www.theinventionofhugocabret.com.

Good luck gathering information!

.

Step two: writing the blog

When you have gathered your information you are ready to report some of it. Start with writing the main points you want to make in your blog and then write the blog itself. Make sure you introduce the subject properly in the introduction, give information in the middle and make a conclusion or answer some questions at the end. You do not need to give each part a seperate title.

Do make sure to write at least 300 words!

.

Step three: write a constructive comment

After you are done with writing and posting your blog, go on your wordpress reader and see if any of your classmates have also posted a blog already. When you have found one, read it and comment on the blog. You can comment on the structure (introduction/middle/end), the grammar/spelling or you can ask questions about the topic(s) of the blog.

Write at least 2 of these comments! You are allowed to edit your blog if someone made a comment that made you want to change something.

.
