Task

Your tasks are listed below. Answer them in a Google Doc and be sure to look at the Evaluation tab to check your rubric!!

Task #1: List the 12 Olympians and of what they are god or goddess. No copying and pasting from the websites.  You must use complete sentences to answer the questions below.

What clues would help Percy Jackson identify the god or goddess? Colors? Things in nature - trees, water, plants, animals?  Places?

What makes each god or goddess angry?  Happy?

What gifts are good for each god or goddess?

Do you have any recommendations for Percy if he meets this god or goddess on the quest?

Task #2: Write a paragraph summary about one hero from Greek mythology (Jason, Hercules, Perseus, etc.). What types of character traits (strength, fearlessness, etc.) help the hero be successful?

If you were a hero what character traits would you need to defeat the monster?

What character traits do you think Percy Jackson will need in order to retrieve the lightning bolt and to return it to Zeus?

Task #3: Pick one mythical monster and research information about it. Describe its appearance, how it was defeated, and help Percy figure out what type of monster it was if it was in disguise.

Are there any strange smells? Sounds?  Changes in temperature, lighting, or weather?  Strange or unusual surroundings?  Changes in normal behavior of people or animals?
