You dont understand him but it seem like he is communicating though notes and rhythm. You must come up with a Rhythm to communicate with this alien.
Task
Before your team and the alien continue with the trek across space you must come up with a musical ryhtm to communicate with him. In order for him to understand you your rhythm must consist of a total of 8 beats, use Quarter notes, Half notes, and Eighth notes. Once you finish writing your rhythm you must know how to clap your rhythm so your alien friend can hear you.
Process
In order to prperly write your rhythm to communicate with TIM the alien you must follow these steps:
1. Go to http://www.essential-music-theory.com/music-note.html or you can use BING and look for other articles and read through each description for Quarter, Half and Eighth notes. Be sure you understand the beat value for each note. If you still do not understand go to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MwcNgGXWano and watch the video explaning note values.
2. Now its time to start coming up with your rhythm, start by brainstorming on a sheet of paper. See what rhythms you like but BE SURE YOUR NOTES ALL ADD UP TO 8 total beats no more no less. After you have decided on your Rhythm go to https://musescore.org/ and download the music writer. ( Ask parents for help ) once it finishes put your notes and rhythms into the software. When your done click the play button so that you can hear your rhythm.
3. After you have listened to your rhythm try claping along. Work till you are able to clap it on your own from memory. Besure you can clap it so that you can communicate with your alien friend.
