Task

1. While you watched the video from the introduction, you should have filled out the worksheet that went along with it.

2. Create a poster with a picture of each organ, then list all of the major functions (yes, all of them) of each organ under them.

3. Create a foldable using the handouts and then identify which organs belong to the body systems.

4. Play a game and record your results.

Process

To create the organ functions poster:

1. Aquire a large piece of paper.

2. Create a list (on scratch paper) a list of the Major organs in the human body. Make sure to check with me that you have them all listed BEFORE moving onto the next step.

3. Look up a picture of each organ and put them into a googledocs to be shared with me. Select pictures that best represent each of the MAJOR organs of the body. When you are finished, ask me to print the pictures for you to be put on your poster.

4. Look up the functions of each organ. Site your source where you recieved the infomation. You must use ATLEAST 2 crediable sources if more than one organ is listed on the page. To make a reference page use: http://www.easybib.com/

5. Assemble your poster. You may use bullet points for the functions. I do NOT want complete sentences.

To create the body systems poster:

1. Get several pieces of colored paper and the handout for this poster.

2. Cut out each item and color them.

3. Cut the colored paper in half (hotdog style) and fold each half into 3rds so it makes an accordion. (If you need help, ASK ME before you cut.) Attach the ends of the paper so that they connect together to make one long piece.

4. Glue the cut outs to the front of the long paper so that each takes up one third of the paper. Label the organ systems.

5. On the back, list out all of the organs that are part of each organ system.

6. Also list the main functions of each body system on the back.

To play the game:

Go to http://www.purposegames.com/game/af2f6a505c and play the game. Record your score on you paper.

When you are finished turn in your work. Make sure your name is on it.
