Introduction
What did you have for breakfast this morning? Oatmeal? Cereal? Look at the clothes you are wearing. What are they made from? What is the table or desk you are sitting at made from? You guessed it, Natural Resources! The food you eat, the clothes you wear, the furniture you use came from different natural resources.
During this webquest you are going to explore the different natural resources that come from the Pacific Northwest. As a group you will decide which natural resource to do a report on to share with the class. Click the next tab to know details of your task.
Task
The teacher has a list of natural resoruces in a bucket, one person from your group will draw one natural resource from the bucket to do the report on. For this report you will need the following items:
- Title for report
- An overview of your resource:where it is located, how is it gathered, what is the resource made into, the positive and negative effects of using this resource, how does this resource affect our lives.
- Trifold display with overview information, pictures, sources, and names of group members. Bring a prop to represent your natural resource.

Process
As your group is exploring your natural resource skim thorugh the website and look for main points. Assign the task of reader, note taker, and time keeper. Refer back to the task tab if you have questions. The evaluation will have the rubric for how the report will be scored.
