Introduction

Sub-Sahara Africa is a large portion of the African continent.  There are 50 diverse countries to choose from.  Your goal is to create a brochure inviting travellers to a Sub-Sahara African nation.  

Task

Design a  travel brochure, using Google Slides, that entices travellers to visit your nation in Sub Sahara Africa. Your presentation will contain pertinent information for the global traveller.  One must have the important documents and innoculations before visiting foreign lands.

Choose from the following lists of African nations:  Botswana, Tanzania, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Zambia, South Africa, and Namibia,  Zanzibar, Mozambique, Malawi, and the beautiful island of Madagascar.

Process

You will research your assigned African country and present the following information:

 

Name and location of the country.

Wildlife                                                                      

Physical Features (Mts., Rivers, Deserts)

Vaccinations                                                        

Security and Safety in country

Pictures

Cost of vacation, airfare, lodging, and food

BRIEF history of your country                                 

The things to know:  currency, customs, transportation, etc.

Is your country developed (roads, schools, stores)?              

If you visited, what would you do? (Safari, build a school, visit historical sites, mountain climb)

Google Slides

Your PowerPoint must include:

  • A slide for every required item.
  • A brief summary of what each item is, why it’s important, or why is it an issue in your country.
  • Pictures of landscape, animals, celebrations, and other relevant content for your country.
  • Citations for photos and a bibliography page giving credit to those whose work you referred to for information. 

Evaluation

Your brochure will not only be graded upon the information included, but also the aesthetics of the wonderful, creative product you produce.
