Introduction

You will go on an adventure around the world learning about how and what people from other cultures celebrate!

Task

  1. You will research at least 3 different holidays and the culture of people that celebrate the holiday (excluding the holiday your family celebrates).
  2. You will write a persausive letter about the holiday you chose.
  3. Share 1 picture book about your holiday.
  4. Become a subject matter expert your holiday and share with the class what you've learned about the culture that celebrates the holiday you chose.
  5. Share wiith the class one song, poem, other other medium that goes along with your holiday.
  6. *Bonus* Compare and contrast your holiday with one other holiday.

Process

Evaluation

Each task is worth 20 points. Your completion of task 1 will be evident in the other tasks. The bonus will be worth 5 points. You will have opportunities to receive feedback throughout the unit on each task.

Conclusion

This webquest was designed for you to learn about different cultures around the world and the holidays they celebrate. My objective was for you to discover new customs and traditions outside of the traditions and customs your families share. I hope you enjoyed your findings and continue to expand your multicultural awareness!
