Introduction
Task
Players should gain the overall concept of basic movements involved in the game. Each player will experience drills designed to inform them of:
- Proper techniques: How to kick a soccer ball, how to dribble, changing speed of dribble, and changing direction of dribble.
- Visual aids: Videos provided
- Progress rating: scale provided to see how much one needs to continue practicing theses skills.
Process
Process:
- Students will be split into groups of 2
- Students will need to use resources provided to identify skills required
- Students will actively engage in executing desired skill
- Students should go through each skill at least 4 times in order to gain an understanding of each drill and their full potential to execute the basic skill.
- Each student should evaluate their partner to make sure skills are being executed properly

Conclusion
By the end of the lesson students should have gained full knowledge on the basic skills of soccer. They should be able to kick a soccer ball, know how to dibble, and know how to change speed and direction while dribbling. These basic skills will effectively enhance the soccer skills of each player and by evaluating one’s own performance should give a direct reflection on what they need to practice more on and what confidence level the player is at. But also players should have a better understanding of the focus required to play soccer and the fun that goes along with it. HAPPY PLAYING!
