Introduction
Whose ready to have a class pet in the room? Perhaps a turtle, a fish, or maybe even a lizard? What will it take in order to bring this friendly creature into our classroom? What kind of food will it need, where does it usually live, and what is so intersting about that pet? We are soon going to find out through research, and what will be the best fit for our environment!

Task
Process
Alright kids lets get started and find our friendly friend!!
1. Pair up into groups of four
2. After picking your groups assign each person in the group a topic to research on one specific animal (you will 4 options to choose from to research)
3. One of you will need to look up interesting facts about the pet, a second one will need to look up its habitat, a third person will need to look up the food it typically eats, and the fourth person will look up what we need in order to keep care of it
4. Each group will make a small presentation to discuss with the class
After research you will collaborate with your groups, and then we will discuss as a whole on the pros and cons of each animal each grouo came up with. We will then decide on the four animals we selected as a possibilty as a class pet.
