Introduction
Pack your suitcases!!!! You are needed for an important mission. You have been asked to travel the world to explore habitats. You are to determine what creatures live in these habitats and what they need to survive. An ecologist is a type of scientist that studies the relationships between a species and its habitat. You are going to be an ecologist on this trip. Now fasten your seatbelts and get ready to go!!
Task
As an ecologist you can select from one of the following habitats.
Tundra Habitat
Rainforest Habitat
Coral Reef Habitat
Fresh Water Habitat
You will be asked to give a report about the habitat that you visit. In this report, you will do the following:
1. Complete a graphic organizer about your habitat.

2. Answer questions about your habitat (biome). If you would like to draw pictures of items in your habitat that would help you answer the questions, you may use this worksheet.

This webquest was created for second grade to do an indepth study of habitats.
Task:
This lesson is part of the second grade science curriculum. However, it could be taken and with a few adjustments, be easy for a higher grade to use as well.
Process:
The students will:
1. read about their habitat of choice and look for information about animals, plants, and climate of that habitat.
