¡Bienvenidos! Get ready to explore the wonderful world of fútbol (not football!). This WebQuest was designed for you to explore the culture of soccer around the world. You will explore the popularity of soccer, what a game is like, who the key players are, what the World Cup is like, what soccer is like in the media, and more. After exploring all of these wonderful aspects of soccer around the world, you will have a few culminating projects to choose from.
You will view some really neat videos, read some interesting articles, visit some great websites to learn all about el mundo del fútbol, and have the option to speak with some native speakers about their experiences.. Enjoy the ride!

Below, you will find a list of culminating projects to choose from. I want this to be fun and meaningful for you. Please choose one that interests you and do your best work.
1. Create a commercial in Spanish advertising a product and/or a cause. You will be in the commercial acting as a professional athlete. Think of Michael Jordan's commercials for hanes. (Here is an example of Michael Jordan in a couple of healthcare commercials: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wICpMU9nvRo)
2. Create an ad for a soccer camp for kids in which Messi will be an instructor
3. Create a battle of the sports commercial like the one of Messi and Kobe
4. Now that you know about the culture and experience of the World Cup, write a World Cup song in Spanish. Make sure you use Shakira and JLO/Pitbull's songs as examples.
