Introduction
Colors are an amazing way to express oneself. Many people agree that colors attract them to a variety of different artworks, designs, buildings, products and more. They are used to target certain groups in advertising , signs, and more. When getting a understanding of why certain colors are used anybody can take this and use it for any project they may find themselves involved in, not just artists. Let's explore colors and learn new exciting ways to apply differetn color combinations in our own artwork.
Task
The students will explore different kinds of color combinations from a color wheel containing primary and secondary colors. One group will choose and talk about a set of complimentary colors, one group will choose a set of contiguous colors, one group will choose two primary colors, and the last group will choose two secondary colors.
Process
Each group select a set of their colors to talk about.
Explain how the group came to choose the colors.
Give at least 3 facts about the colors.
Do an internet search for artworks that used these colors exclusively. Tell a little something about the artwork and artist who created the artwork.
