Introduction
Your class is trying to organize a travel to Great Britain to practise English but you can’t make up your mind! You don’t know which city is better, your options are: London, Wales or Edinburgh.
Teachers have requested you to create a brochure with the most important aspects of these three cities, so that it is easier to choose.

Task
Students have to create three different brochures, containing the most relevant information about London, Wales and Edinburgh. They have to pick the information from the websites given by the teacher. After reading and collecting all the information, they have to decide which the essential data is in order to decide their destination.
Finally, each group has to create a brochure, as creative as possible, including the information collected.
This task is interesting because students will develop different skills. First, they will differentiate between the three regions of Great Britain (Scotland, Wales and England) through these emblematic cities, which are a representation of each region. Then, they will, of course, learn more about each of these cities. Moreover, they will develop summarizing skills, since they have to choose the most important details of each website.
Process
Divide the classroom in three groups, each group is assigned one city. Every group has to prepare a brochure explaining some of the most important aspects of the correspondent city: geography, interesting places to visit, weather, population, festivals, gastronomy, etc.
They have to extract the most important information and summarise it as much as possible (remember that brochures do not contain much text!).
To do so they are going to look for information in the webpages below.

After concluding this activity, we can summarise what we have learn about the different regions of Great Britain and about the three cities we have dealt with. What have students found interesting about these cities? What not?
