Drug Education

Introduction

This Webquest is designed to help students understand the harmful consequences of using, misusing, and abusing drugs.  Teenagers are under increased pressure to experiment with drugs, both legal and illegal.  It's time to learn the facts, first, so that you can make healthy, responsible decisions for your future.

Task

Students will individually research a randomly chosen drug to research.  Then, students will use the University of Delaware online library to conduct and gather information on their drug.  Once all of the required information is obtained, students will create a multi-part presentation to teach their classmates about their drug.

Process

This project will be completed through the following steps:

Individually:

  1. Randomly choose a drug
  2. Conduct research to collect all required information (keep records of resources used)

In groups of 2 or 3:

Create anti-drug campaign materials

  • 2 informative posters
  • Creative writing piece (poem, song, PSA)
  • Brochure
