Process
Day 1:
History
Today we are going to be making the cover of our All About Me book. We will be using crayons, markers, construction paper, yarn and whatever else we can find within our classroom to build us. We need to make sure that our picture looks like us. There is a mirror over on the wall if you would like to go take a look at yourself and your different features. We need to make sure we have our names written on the bottom of our papers. Since we will be using glue for our hair, we will be waiting until tomorrow to continue that way the glue can dry.
Day 2:
Economics
Today we are going to start by graphing the length of our arm and hand using crayons. We need to find out how many crayons it takes. With a partner please grab a box of crayons and find an area away from the other students. Then take turns with one partner laying on the floor while the other partner uses crayons to measure. Write down how many crayons it took for each of you in your own books. Then we will br writing our measurements on a sticky note and making a graph.
*After done measuring please go back to tables
Now, please draw a picture of something your arm can do on the left and something your hand can do on the right. Lets put some examples up on the board.
*teacher puts up examples
*students copy one on each line and draw a picture of it.
