Tigers are one of the most endangered species of animals in the world. Tigers have several subspecies Bengal, Indochinses, Siberian, Sumatran, Malayan, South Chinese,Caspian, Javan, and the Bali Tiger. In the 1900's there was a total of about 100,00 tigers worldwide, today there are only about 3,000 - 4,000 in the wild. 

They can eat 88 pounds of meat at one time! Tigers are mainly carnivores, their diet consist of wild pigs, deer, waterbuffalo, and antelope. They are also known to eat leopards, sloth bears, monkeys, crocodiles, hares, etc. Older tiger tend to attack humans and cattle. 

Because of the tigers natural orange and black stripes, this allows them become camoflauge at night to hunt prey easily. Tigers are mostly nocturnal, in result of there hunting tactics. 

Across the southeastern Asian planes, Russia , and China are where tigers call home. Before, they were also found in the Turkey area.
