Introduction
You are one of a small but highly
accomplished group of historians. Recently your group has become aware that
there is a growing interest in WWI in your community. Your group decides to
take it upon yourselves to create a town public presentation dedicated to WWI.
In order to divide up the work, your group splits into three sub groups, Group
One will be interested in the causes, of World War 1. Group two will be
responsible for creating biographic portraits of major figures that influenced
the war. Group three will look into the technological advances during the war.
Task
The class will break up into three groups. One group will be responsible
for reviewing the causes for the war The
second group will create biographic portraits of at least 4 key actors of World
War 1. The third group will make note of the technological advances made during
the war. Each group will then write a brief essay on their chosen topic and
create a 7 slide PowerPoint presentation for the class
Process
Students will utilize several websites
in the process of researching this project. Each group should focus their research on the
links assigned to them. All students should, visit the world cat to gather
additional sources for their essays. Once finished with research all students should visit purdue owl for
proper instruction in Chicago Turabian Style.
