Introduction

I will introduce Inequalities to the class by showing the students this video.  This will spark their knowledge about inequalities and enlighten then if they have never seen them before.

You will need to use inequalities to find out which price is best for you.

Task

Your task will be to:

1. Learn about inequalities and how to solve them.

2. Practice solving inequalities

3. Identify what type of puppy you want and research different owners to find the best price for you.

4. Write and solve equations for each puppy, and graph your answers on a number line.

Process

A. You will first need to answer the questions below to then be able to calculate the right price.

1. Solving for an inequality is similar to solving a(n)

2.  Name three things you can do that will not affect the sign.

3. Name one thing that will affect the sign.

4. Write out an example where the sign was afftected.

5. Write out an example where the sign was not affected.
