China Webquest

Introduction

Over the coming weeks we will be studying the history of China.  This webquest is an introduction to some of the material we will discuss throughout our unit of study.

Use today's classtime to complete the following webquest.  Following the directions and answer the questions at each part of the webquest.

Process

Part 1: Timeline of Chinese History and Dynasties

Visit the following website and then answer the following questions:

  1. What dynasty started in 1046 B.C.E. and went to 256 B.C.E.?
  2. What Dynasty came after the Zhou Dynasty?
  3. When did the Han Dynasty occur?
  4. When was the Tang Dynasty?
  5. What was the next named dynasty after the Tang Dynasty?
  6. What dynasty occurred from 1644-1912?

Part 2: The Qin Dynasty

    Visit the following website and than answer the following questions:

    1. When was the Qin Dynasty?
    2. How did Qin Shihuangdi rise to power?
    3. What are three things Qin Shihuangdi did while he was in power?

    Part 3: The Han Dynasty
