Introduction

Many many types of transportation could be found in Barbados in the past. Some still exist even up to today, but they look very different.

Why did we need and still need transportation?:

1- To move people from one place to another.


2- To move goods from sellers to buyers; and even


3- To rescue people

Types of transportation include:

1. Ships & Boats

2. Horse & Buggy

3. Donkey, Mule, Ox, Cow and Push Carts

4. The Tram and Train

5. Cars, Buses and Lorries

6. Airplanes

7. Spiders, Bicycles and Scooters

Task

Today you begin yoUR quest to:

1. List at least 4 past ways of moving goods around.

2. List at least 4 present ways of moving goods around

3. Match 3 types of transportation to the goods they carry.

4. View video clip / pictures to see methods of transportation used in the past.

5. Discuss how old time transportation is different to what you see around Barbados now.

6.Create a model of 1 type of transportation seen then or now.

7. Record using at least 4 pictures how the model was made.

 

8. Create a collage to show past and present types of transportation.

9.Label all work neatly
