Creating a Story

Introduction

The students will work together in groups to create a narrative story by picking characters, creating a setting, and following a sequence.

Task

In the process, you will be picking your own characters, creating a setting for your characters, create a plot and then create your own story. You will find your rubric in the evaluation.

Evaluation

After completing the process, combine all of your characters with your setting and create your own story.

 

Rubric:

1. Your story must contain at least 3 different characters.

 

2. Your setting must take us through 2 different places.

 

3. Your story must follow a logical sequence.

 

4. Your story must include a plot.

 

5. Your story must include descriptive adjectives.

 

6 Your story must include correct punctuation and grammar.

 

Conclusion

Now we will read our stories to the class and vote on the group who has the best story.
