EDUCATION AROUND THE WORLD

Introduction

Education is one of the most powerful tools for reducing poverty and inequality, while also laying down a foundation for economic growth. United States is only ranked sevententh best schooling system in the world. So what country is powering the world with intelligence? What country is lacking the necessities to educate their children? Complete the webquest to discover how our schooling system differs from those other countries. Maybe you will want to pack your things in the end and start school somewhere else. There is only one way to find out!

Task

During your hunt to find your personal favorite country's schooling system, you will need to go through a process to gain material to analyze a personal insight that will be articulated through research. In the end you will have a short summary of why you chose that country and what struck you to be interesting to make your decision. MAKE SURE YOU ARE TAKING NOTES ALONG THE WAY TO HELP WITH THE FINAL PRODUCT!

Process

To accomplish the task, you will need to go through the following steps.

1. First you will need to freshen up your understanding of the schooling system in the United States by visiting the following link:

2. Once you fully understand our schooling system, you will need to research atleast FIVE other countries (make sure to take notes). You can find information at the following links:

3. When you have finished with your research, you will need to glance over your notes that you took along the way and decide which country's schooling system you would want to be a part of.

4. You will need to take your decision and write a 1/2 - 1 page summary of the country that you chose, some background information on their schooling system and why you chose that country. If in the end you still chose United States, briefly describe why you believe our schooling system is better than the country's that you researched.
