Introduction
A day at the zoo is always such fun! You can see lions, and tigers, and bears. Oh my! You are going to read a book about animals you can see at the zoo. After you read the story, you will write down and answer questions about your favorite animal. Start think about these questions:
1) What is the name of your favorite animal?
2) Was that animal in the book?
3) What type of weather does your animal like?
4) What food does it eat?
5) What sound does it make?
6) From the arctic animal link, why are many animals white?
7) Did you see any of the same animals on the different links?
8) Do the African Animals look like the arctic animals?
9) What anmal was floating on his backs with another animal of the same species.
10) Do you think the pink birds were well protected from predators?

Task
1) Read the Story about zoo animals.
2) Using paper and pencil, write the answers to the questions.
3) Draw a picture of your animal.
4) Tell the class about the questions you answered and share your picture.
The questions and pictures will be hung out in the hall for parent teacher conferences, and can be entered in the art show.

First, read the book about zoo animals. Next, pull out your pencil and paper to answer these questions.
