"Christmas Task"

Introduction

Most of the time in our life needs decision making, and when making those decisions we need to be knowledgeable, we need to be familiar in the situation of our life. Every decision that we make, there will be an equivalent outcome. In analyzing a situation, we focus on the rate of success or on the probability that we will succeed. Some situations may be simple, like choosing what attire will you wear for the day, making arrangements for your decorations in the house, or organizing things on your room.

Christmas is getting near, you might started to feel the spirit of Christmas. Today, you are ask to make a plan and list the different ways on how to make a Christmas decoration for your class room.

Task

In this task, you will be in group. Each group have different tasks. 

Group 1

Task1: You are assigned to build your Christmas tree and you are asked to choose three different colors that will fit as the design.

Write all the possible ways to arrange your chosen colors.

Task 2: From the list that you have, decide on which is the best way to design your Christmas Tree. Sketch yor design.

Group 2

Task 1: You are asked to put the 4 lanterns of different lanterns in the ceiling. List the ways of arrangement that you can have using the four lanterns (blue,red,yellow green).

Task 2: From the list that you have, decide on which is the best way to design your ceiling. Sketch yor design.

Group 3

Task 1: You are assigned to wrap 3 different gifts given with 3 gift wrap materials (stripes, plain, polkadots) and 3 ribbon   (bow, curly,round). In how many ways can you wrap the 3 different gifts?


Task 2: From the list that you have, choose on which is the best way to wrap all the gifts. 

Process

To be able to complete you tasks. You need to know the following first.

1. What is permutation?

2. What are the ways to list the different outcomes that you can make?

3. How do we solve for the number of ways or arrangement of a certain situation may happen?
