The US Presidents

Welcome! We are beiging a journey where we will learn more about the brave and courajous men who served as President of the United States of America. These are men who were leaders and shapers of America. In this webquest we are going to pick one of the US Presidents are create a report which you can share with your fellow classates.

Students will have 4 taskes to complete which will compile their report. Make sure that that each one is your best!

Task 1: Choosing your President

To begin this projest you will need to pick a President to research. We have 44 to choose from! Each President has their own unique personalities and traits. I would try to pick one that intrests you the most. Look through the websites to help. You can pick who ever you would like.

Once you have chosen your president you will need to make your first page of the report, the cover page. Make sure this page is nice as this will be the first thing people will see. Try to include a picture of your president, it can be either printed copied or drawn. Try to include things life their term langth and the years they served through, and which state he was from. You may also add any information in which you find important.

Task 2: Create a Timeline

Now that you have chosen a President, its time to dive into their life. Use the websites below to reseach your president, take notes on things that you think are important and unique to your president. When was he born, when did he die, what were some key happenings during his term.

Once you have taken down all of the importent aspcts of your president our first project will be to create a time line. Give your readers lots of interesting and important and acurate fact about your president of choice.

Task 3: Create a Photo Collage

     During this part of the webquest you will be able to showoff your artistic side. Create a Photo collage of your president. THis will give your reader a better visual picture of your chosen President. You man use any pictures from online, cut picture out of a magazine or draw a picture yourself.

Task 4: Create a biography paper and present to class 

A time line and photo collage are visual way to learn about a person. A biography tells the story of a person in written form. When you are writing your biograpy think think about what else you would like to know about your person. What parts you might want to write most about. Also remember the below question to help and guid you through your paper.

• What makes this person interesting
• what effect did this person have on the world and other people.
• What adjectives are most used to describe this person
• what examples from their life illistates these qualities
• What events changed or shaped this person life
• did they overcome these obsticales, what did they learn
• would the world be batter place if theis person hadent lived, why or why not

After all of this work it is time to present all of you knowledge you have gained to the class. orginze a shot 5 minute oral speech where you can highlight some of th important fact and event of you president life. Show off your photo collage and timeline and demenstrate that you have gained new insight on your present.
